Buster Whitehead

Posted: September 2nd, 2011

Buster was found running along a highway in very rural New Mexico when he was about 18 months old. A wonderful woman picked him up and took him to a private, no kill shelter. Buster had been beaten and abused. He trembled and would not permit anyone to touch his head. He cried in his sleep.

Buster is now 6.5 years old, 135 pounds and brutally handsome (as you can see). He has been an important member of my family for 5 years. He does not tremble or have nightmares. Buster now loves to have his head petted and makes friends wherever he goes. Buster goes on many hikes in the mountains (trails between 7,000 and 11,000 feet). Several folks said that they were going to look into getting an AB after meeting him! If I want to know where he is, all I have to do is look down. In short, he is an incredible ambassador for this magnificent breed.

God Bless,

Jim

Biscuit was found as a stray that had already been a breeding machine at just 18 mos of age. She had a collar embedded in her neck and is heart worm positive so she’s obviously been tied up outside all of her short life. What make this more horrid is that she’s deaf. She must… Read More
