Surrendering Your American Bulldog

If you are looking to surrender your dog, or if you can keep your dog and want assistance placing your dog, please fill out the Surrender form below and include photos and all information — or your e-mails will go unanswered.

NOTE: We operate in the mid-Atlantic region, from North Carolina to Connecticut. If you are elsewhere, please contact your local SPCA or Humane Society for assistance.

Owner Assisted Placements

This program allows you to foster/keep your dog at home with you until the perfect home is found. Here's how it works: send us a short paragraph bio on your dog (please include likes/dislikes, dog social, cat social, etc.) and 3 amazing pictures! Remember — pictures are the first thing they see of your dog, so make it count!

Once you have that gathered up, send it in ONE e-mail to [email protected]. There is no guaranteed time limit, but we can promise that homes will be very well screened — including checking the potential family's vet references, personal references, phone interviews, and assistance in a home visit.

This program requires a $10.00 donation sent via PayPal to [email protected].

Requirements — proof of the following:

Spay/Neuter
Current vaccines for the year
Heartworm preventative

Important: Dogs must be spayed/neutered prior to intake. If your dog is not yet altered, please make arrangements before submitting this form. Our email will go unanswered without the above information!

We're sorry if this seems harsh. It's the least you can do to help us help you. Our foster home cup has runneth over with dogs that have immediate needs and our email inbox runneth over with requests for help. What little staff we have has been busy of late following up with folks for additional information on the surrenders. Please provide us with the information that we need to begin with so we can spend our time helping to find a home for your dog(s). Again, please help us to help you!

Lastly, the costs associated with helping to place dogs are substantial (i.e. transport, boarding, vet, etc.). Please consider making a donation to help us to continue what we do.

Follow-up reminder: If you have not received a response within 2 weeks of submitting this form, please follow up by email to confirm your dog is still available for intake. We receive a high volume of requests and want to make sure your submission is still current.
