Janey
September 27, 2009

This is Janey, our sweet American Bulldog from the Scott line. She came into our lives in 1997 and was an integral part of our young until the fall of 2009. We picked her out of a litter of 9 other pups, all rolling around in a kiddie pool in the breeder’s family room. She was smaller and calmer than her siblings and there was an instant connection with all of us. Janey moved with us to four different homes, watched over us as we slept, and amazed our friends and neighbors that such a strong and muscular dog could be so sweet. Even though she did not like other dogs, she came to be good friends with Jack, a pug/Jack Russell mix who moved in with us in 2006. She liked to lay on the driveway in springtime, could catch a tennis ball 9 out of 10 times, and loved to steal loaves of bread whenever she could. When I took her to puppy kindergarten, she taught me how to be a better father to my kids because I realized that the same principals apply: clear communications, patience, leadership and the ability to “catch them doing something right.” We will never forget, and will always be grateful. With boundless love….
