SWEET FRANK NEEDS YOUR HELP!

Posted: December 9th, 2013

For those of you who are new to Frank’s story, here it is. Frank was found on the side of the road in Jackson, GA earlier this year, hungry and covered in ticks. He is a baby, only around 1 1/2 years old. ABR took him in and he has been fostered in Atlanta for the past few months.

Within a couple of weeks, Frank became an ABR favorite. He is the happiest, most loving bulldog around. His tail never stops wagging, he presses into you for affection, and runs around in little circles when he’s excited. Frank is also hilarious; he will tell you exactly how he feels by “talking” to you.

In his foster home, Frank finally experienced love for the first time. He learned various commands and became partners in crime with his Frenchie foster sister, Sweet Pea. Sweet Pea is bossy, and would steal his treats and toys sometimes, but Frank is so sweet that he did nothing but stand there and howl at the injustice of it all!

Last weekend, ABR thought that Frank had *finally* found his happy ending. A couple in Augusta, GA adopted him and took him home. Four days later, they came home from work and found Frank unconscious in a pool of blood. He was hemorrhaging severely and was rushed to the ER. At the ER, his heart stopped beating and he had to be revived and put on oxygen. Even though Frank must have been in excruciating pain that day while he slowly bled out, he didn’t want to soil the house and was found by the back door, trying to go do his business outside. Our hearts break for what this poor boy went through that day.

To make matters worse for poor Frank, his new family decided that they didn’t want him anymore because he got sick. Frank is now stranded in Augusta, GA, with nobody to visit him, until he’s healthy
enough to go back to his foster home in Atlanta. Frank is now getting better every day and we expect a full recovery. The cause of his illness is still unknown.

***Loyal bulldog lovers, we desperately need your help.*** Frank’s vet bill is $3800, and we are struggling to pay it. We know it’s the holiday season and everyone’s wallets are a little
thin this time of year, but if you can find it in your heart (and bank account) to spare a few dollars, we would be eternally grateful. Frank is only 1 year old and has a wonderful life ahead
of him if we can continue to pay for his care. PLEASE help us give that to him. Donations can be sent via PAYPAL to hhicarey@yahoo.com

If you cannot donate and are in the Augusta, GA area, there is something else you can do. Frank’s foster family had already planned a holiday trip from Dec. 20-29 and cannot take him with them. If anybody is willing to keep Frank at their house throughout that time, please let us know by emailing hhicarey@yahoo.com. Frank is a very good boy who just wants to be loved. He will be healthy and happy by the time the 20th rolls around.

Again, donations can be sent via paypal to hhicarey@yahoo.com. We appreciate everyone’s comments, donations, and prayers. God bless!
