Abby (Pancake)- In Memoriam
Abby ~ February 24, 2009
Hi Jodi. Perhaps you don’t remember us, but in case you do, I wanted you to know that Abby(Pancake) had a massive heart attack last Wednesday morning and died. We wanted you to know because you gave us one of the best gifts in life… a dog who we loved and loved us back. We are thankful you agreed to rescue her, and also for letting us love her for the past 2 years. Please be assured that we gave her a warm, loving and fun home for these last 2 years, in hopes of atoning for the horrible life she endured before we adopted her in the puppy mill.
Your dedication to American Bulldogs is to be admired, and we are thankful that you were there to give us our best friend and companion. Abby was our second, and we are eternally grateful for you entrusting her to us. We miss her terribly, as do all our neighbors and friends who came to love her as we did. She endeared herself to everyone, by offering her paw or just smiling as they came through the door.
I know that you believe, as I do, that this breed is truly special. They have wonderful big hearts, a playful demeanor, and are loyal to the bone. Please continue your wonderful rescue for this most worthy breed.
Abby died peacefully, with Bill stroking her, her tail wagging. Thank you again, for our most precious gift.
Love,
Bill and Sandy
