MEET VIOLET
Violet is looking for a loving safe forever home. One that will take the time to learn how to communicate with her and open the world up to her. Until she came to ABR she was abused and neglected. Probably because no one took the time to know she’s deaf and learn how to talk to her. How sad that she was beat probably for “not listening”. She’s no longer living in a silent disconnected world. She’s learning sign language along with her foster family and she’s doing so good.
Violet is just the sweetest nicest girl. She has kisses and kisses for everyone! She’s eager to learn and looks to her humans for direction. She’s young and playful and enjoys engaging with her humans with catch (of course, the bulldog in her doesn’t return the toy) or tug. She loves to nap snuggled up with you. Violet does great on walks. She sits so nicely to put her harness on and then off ya go! She will check in with you during the walk and a thumbs up lets her know all is good. She’s house-trained and crate-trained. She does protest the crate sometimes and will bark for a bit before setting down. Violet loves to eat! She’s a good eater at meal-time and is very treat motivated. She will try to steal food from the counters and tables but we are working on that.
Violet is learning signs and her forever home will need to commit to reinforcing what she’s learned and continue to learn new signs. Violet is very attentive and will look at you for cues in expressions. She does startle easily since she cannot hear movement around her.
Violet is a lovely houseguest and will make the right adopter a fabulous best friend.
Violet is in Philadelphia, PA.
