Poor Starla was left in the overnight drop off at a shelter in southern MD. She was terrified and very shut down when she arrived in foster. She would cower and pancake to the ground at every noise and any time her foster family came close. After plenty of time to decompress and meeting her foster brother, Starla learned her foster family is pretty cool. She turned into an affectionate little jumping bean.
Shortly after arriving in foster, Starla went into a long heat she was finally able to be spayed at the end of April. After her recovery she will be ready for her forever home.
Starla relies on her foster brother for confidence and he has helped her become a sassy girl on walks and meeting new people. Starla is still insecure in new situations and needs a family that will be patient with her. For this reason, Starla is looking for a forever home with a doggie pal.
