ROCKY IS IN URGENT NEED OF A FOSTER HOME!

Update 2: From Cara (foster momma): I wanted to give a quick update on Rocky. Today they sewed two holes in his gums shut and cleaned the hair from the roof of his mouth. He has deep ridges on the roof of his mouth and they found hair caught in there. No teeth were pulled. They are all healthy. He had a lump removed on his shoulder. He’s doing good. A little whiny and sleepy. He just got some ice cream and that seemed to relieve some pain.

Update 1: Thanks to everyone’s donations, Rocky goes in for his major dental work today!
Wish him luck. He’s going to feel like a whole new man once he has those nasty holes in his gums taken care of!

Rocky is an 8 ½ year old American Bulldog. He was surrender by his owner to the Tampa shelter in April. The original owners have had him since he was 6 weeks old and stated they no longer had time for him. At the shelter he was neutered and a large fatty tumor was removed. He had a very slow recovering but is healthy now.

Because of Rocky’s age and being a bulldog, his top speed is Eeyore speed. He will take breaks from napping to eat. Then prefers to go right back to bed. His favorite place to nap is at your feet. He loves to be by you. He loves everyone and everyone he has met loves him. He’s currently a 94 LBS love bug. He gives his foster fur sister kisses all the time. He gets along with all dogs he has met so far. He is house trained. He is crate trained. He does not get on the furniture. Not because we don’t allow it, we think in his past life he was not allowed. Knows all basic commands and listens well. He does have a small stubborn side but after all he is a bulldog. He’s a great walker on a leash and but would rather go for a car ride instead.  He has thrived off our structure and completely fell into place with our routine. If you are looking for a very loving and low energy dog Rocky is the dog for you.
