The plan is to keep her on her current food which is Zignature Salmon limited ingredients, Salmon oil supplement, Cytopoint injections about every 4-6 weeks, frequent baths, and Benadryl.  This could change depending on how good she does moving forward.

MEET MAGGIE

Maggie must have fallen from heaven because she’s an angel!  Maggie is still healing and feeling better each day so we are still getting to know her but what we know so far is that she is a lovely girl.  She’s low-key and spends her days lounging on a dog bed or the couch on a soft blanket watching tv or napping.  She has the daintiest bulldog snore ever!  Its so adorable!  She loves going through the toy bins and will throw them around or lay to suck or nibble on them.  When she is super excited she spins in circles!   Maggie also seems to like dog beds.  She was very excited to learn that she had 3 at her foster home.  She ran around like Goldie locks!  At meal times, she eats and then goes out to potty.  Lately, instead of looking so defeated, she happily pounces around.  She is a slow eater and still needs some encouragement to finish her food.  She is still underweight so we make sure to let her take her time and finish up.  She is excellent at taking her meds hidden in a little cream cheese or Kong cheese.  You’ll need to keep her neck dry (and your floor) after she gets a drink.  She literally goes all in! Maggie is still getting 2-3 baths a week and she goes right into the tub!  No chasing!  Maggie is fabulous with her foster brother Skynard and the resident cats.  She would be happy as an only pet or have dog or cat siblings.  She does prefer women and shows fear when her foster dad is around.  She is starting to sniff at him though.  We don’t know why but we can guess why she is fearful of men. We don’t know how much of the damage to her body is permanent, like the blackened, rough skin, and  bald spots.  But, it doesn’t matter because Maggie is too sweet to let that stop you from considering adopting her and giving her a great life!

As Maggie heals and comes out of her shell and we get to learn more about her, we will update her bio.

She’s just the cutest little thing!  Maggie is in Philadelphia, PA.
