Meet Louie

Louie came to American Bulldog Rescue from Arkansas after being attacked by other dogs. He had many wounds and a giant wound on his leg. After a few months, he has finally healed! Louie loves meeting people and is very curious to everything and everyone. Louie loves toys, bones, and walks. He is not a fan of the sweeper, and absolutely hates motorcycles. Up for a car ride anytime as long as it doesn’t cut into feeding times. He is not a fan of tubby time, and will fight you the entire time. He his a little timid at first when meeting larger dogs, so slower introductions will be a must for him. He would do best with another relaxed, low key female or would do fine as a single dog.

Being a young pup that has had to be in a crate for many months while his leg heals, Louie will ABSOLUTLEY need to be enrolled in training as he’s a little behind on fine tuning his manners. We have been working on listening skills, but still needs finishing touches. He loves to jump so we have been working on getting that stopped. Louie can also get mouthy when he’s excited and we’ve been working on that as well. Louie is FULL of energy and loves life. He has now been allowed more time in the house now that he’s healed and pretty much will follow you around while sniffing and investigating the toy situations. Louie loves a fenced in back yard so he can run around and watch the activity of the neighborhood. He won’t spend any time out there if a human isn’t there to join him.

Louie is just a goofy fun loving little guy that’s down for anything. If there’s food or treats involved it’s even better!
