MEET GEORGIE
This little guy is a super friendly good boy! He came to ABR from a city shelter where he was turned in by someone who found him hanging around outside their home. He is about 25 lbs and probably a puggle (pug and beagle mix) and maybe a little boxer? We won’t ever know for sure but what we do know is that he’s just adorable! His wrinkly little head and big floppy ears are just too endearing! He’s a very sweet boy who has quite a bit of energy in his small body! He loves to play with his stuffies, fetch and tug-o-war. He’s quite vocal when he plays with big growls coming from that pint-sized body! He would do great in a home where he can go for at least one nice walk a day and fenced yard to zoom around! He actually does several laps as part of his #2 potty ritual! Hey, whatever makes him happy. Maybe its the dog version of reading in the potty! LOL. George Henry is a wonderful sous chef. He will stay by yourself while making meals and likes to have “jobs” like choosing which beans or vegetables to add to a big pot of chili! He takes his kitchen duties serious and listens intently if you talk to him about what you’re doing. He’s a funny little guy! He will stand with his butt in the air sometimes when chewing a bone or just relaxing…the butt is in the air. LOL. His manners with his canine foster sister are good and they get along nicely. Georgie does need to work on a couple minor inside manner things like counter surfing, jumping on humans, and stealing your shoes (hey, don’t leave them laying around). He’s also working on, and having great improvements, on biting at you when he’s super excited. His behavior is nothing aggressive just attention seeking bites. Even so, they are not okay and need to stop. He is crate-trained, house-trained, walks pretty okay on a leash (he’s using a no-pull Freedom Harness and doing great), and is good with the other dog in the home. Georgie is overall is an easy-going, good boy who just needs to work out a few things and is so worth the little bit of work.
Georgie will meet you at the door with happy nub wags each day and who wouldn’t want that!? This bite-sized cutie will be the perfect addition to a lucky adopter’s heart and home!
George Henry is in Philadelphia, PA and waiting for you!
