Meet Eggo (Diego)

Eggo is a great little dog! He’s no trouble at all! Two meals a day, a few potty breaks and lots of love is all he asks for! Eggo is a friendly senior. He deserved better treatment then he’s had in his life. His little body shows the obvious neglect but his spirit shows a lovely pup! Eggo has been a very easy houseguest since arriving in his foster home located in Philadelphia, PA. He’s a super low-key, no fuss boy. He’s happy napping next his favorite human or watching you cook or clean. He’s a great movie pal! He quickly picked up on the schedule in his foster home going to eat and potty with the other dogs without complaint. Eggo is a senior boy and would love a quiet home where there was not much going on most of the time. He’d be perfectly happy with or without a canine companion. Eggo has an elongated soft palette which causes his breathing to sound a little labored. But his heart and lungs look and sound perfect so at this age, we would not put him through a corrective surgery. He does have some difficulty eating on his own so his foster mom started to feed him his softened food with a table spoon. He’s taken right to it and we think he’s happier that he’s actually getting food into his tummy and not up his nose or left on the floor. He’s a sweet little man who totally goes with the flow. His ears were in really bad condition when he first came to us and he seemed to not be able to hear at all. But since having his ears very throughly cleaned and medicated, he’s showing signs that he can hear high or loud sounds, at least from one ear! His eyes are so clear, bright and full of love. He will bark his squeaky senior bark if he is awake and there’s more activity then what he’s become familiar with in his foster home. If he’s sleeping a stampede of bulldogs won’t wake him! Eggo is a wonderful boy and we know that there’s a special adopter out there who loves seniors and giving them the best days of their lives!
