Emmett on his way to neutering. “You’re taking me where, to do what?”

Emmett is a young guy who was kept outside by a supposed breeder. You may remember Sydney and the fun of her Candy Company pups born in December. Emmett is one of Sydney’s pups from a previous litter. When we were contacted to help Sydney, Emmett was also rescued by us. Since then, Emmett has mostly been at boarding kennels because we have a serious shortage of available foster homes. (Interested in the rewarding opportunity of being a foster for a rescued dog? Fill out our app!)

We desperately wanted to get Emmett out of a kennel and into a home where he could experience stability and learn how to handle his big self.  Emmett walks around thinking he must be a tiny 15 pound puppy, not the 80+ pound meat head that he is. Having him hang out in a kennel wasn’t going to change that. So thanks to fundraisers like our auctions, we were able to get Emmett into a board and train boot camp with Show Me Your Dog Training.

Join Emmett on his month-long journey where he will, at last, get the love and care of a stable home and where he’ll be learning what it takes to be the best forever friend a family could want.

We are looking for a foster home or forever family to bring Emmett home by March. You will work directly with Emmett’s trainer, Dave, to help everyone transition with Emmett’s arrival. You’ll also be able to get help from Dave for Emmett’s lifetime for any tune ups or new issues that might need some attention. This is an excellent opportunity to get support from an experience trainer while giving a great dog a new leash on life!
