Just want to inform about a family that owns an Ammerican Bulldog (aprox. 2 years old). This poor fellow is constantly abused by these people. Once they went to their country in Central America and left the dog in a cage in charge of somebody that didn't care for him. A few days ago I knew that the hit the dog so badly even his mouth was broken only because he made something wrong to a furniture or wall. I'm trying to get their address and would like to know if you can rescue this poor animal that like any other doesn't deserve to have a miserable life like the one he's living.
Thanks in advance.

It just breaks my heart to see all these poor babies. What are people thinking? I love my AB and my cats and would never dream of giving them up or neglecting any of them. I am donating to help you get some of these babies well. I want to help the most in need. I don't have any one favorite. Keep up your awesome work.

Kudos to the wonderful work you are doing to rescue this majestic breed. I have been around AB's for the past 15 years and hope to never be without one. My girls, Dottie (10) and Yeti (6 months) are the light of my husband and my life. We hope to be in a position to foster soon, and will put in an application with you. Sending loving and healty thoughts to all your rescue kids

I just donated $ in and effort to help Kingston. I would encourage anyone who loves this breed to do the same! He looks alot like my Lucy Girl I found by the roadside 2 years ago. She was on deaths doorstep. It wasn't easy but she is strong and healthy today, and such a great family dog. I never thought in 100 years I would have a "bully" breed dog, but she opened my heart. They speak to you with their eyes. If I had more room and didn't have so many now I'd take another. Please give what you can!

Lucy and I would like to thank Jody for bringing us together. Today was Lucy's first day in her new home and she has already felt comfortable enough to play on the floor with me , fall a sleep beside me and she follows me every where I go in the house. Sometimes it is just about rescuing the dog, but in this case we were both blessed and it feels like we have been here together forever.

I just lost my beloved Lugs today, at 11 years old, he passed on after a brave battle with anemia, and the only comfort I have found is your website. As the tears roll down my face, I am reading Kingston's story, and encouraged by the similar bravery he is showing. My Lugs also "roo roo roo'd" and talked to me daily. I pray Kingston conquers his illness with the love and joy I am sending his way.

My American Bulldog Frankie will be turning 2 in July. She has been a wonderful family pet, an awesome playmate for my 3 year old son, and my lap buddy. She's hands down the best dog I've owned and I hope I can help rescue her an American Bulldog Buddy!!

Hi Clarabelle!,

Me and my Zoey (10 months today) want to say that we know that you will get better! You will definitely feeeeel sooo much better once your eyes have been removed. We know because Zoey had her eyes removed and she is loving life, site or no site!!! She only bumps into things when she gets excited. Zoey runs around the house and the back yard with no problems!! Feel better soon!

We have a rescued American Bulldog and his name is Mr. Campo. He had a very serious case of heart worms and was less than a week from being euthanized when we got him. He is now super healthy and happy.
Keep up the good work, these beautiful animals are worth it!

I recommend an American bulldog to anyone who is considering adpoting one. I have a 5 year old female and she has been a blessing to my family. I have never had such a great dog. I think the work you all do to find them homes is commendable.
Thanks

I am so deeply saddened by Sammie. I wish, wish, wish, I could take her and all those gorgeous faces. She is in the right hands now, you are all so wonderful. My Rafael just had knee surgery and not only is is supposed to be inactive for SIX WEEKS (argh!), it was $2000. I hope that you get some donations for sweet Sammie. I will be sending a donation as soon as I am done with this. THANK YOU for all you do, it's amazing how you can reach and help soooo, soooo many dogs. I am continuously amazed...

My husband and I adopted an American Bulldog for the South Brevard shelter. Her days at the shelter were numbered, we were told she was going to be euthanized in a few days since she had been there nearly a year. Her name is Pepper and we love her so much, we even had to put $1600. in a knee operation for her. Money is nothing compared to her love.

Hello, we adopted "ponder" aka "keebler" last friday. he could not be better with us, or with our families. He is the bst thing that happened to me in a long time. He is sweet, loving, athletic, fun....but a bit timid probably due to his strained past. We are working on this, and working on keeping him socialized with people, pets, and things! He's already joined few play groups, and met some neighborhood friends. I cannot ever repay his foster mom for the love, and great care she gave him. She has a heart of gold and I will be "furever" grateful for my furry child.

Thank you!

Hey guys,

Awesome job in what you're doing. All these dogs deserve the support and thank God some people still possess good souls. Just wanted to drop you a quick line of appreciation and invite you to check out my organization, Rescue Rocks. We put on benefit punk rock shows for Long Island/NYC animal rescues.

To April who wrote a note about Daisy Duke- we do not post entries regarding dogs to be surrendered in our guest book. Please use the "contact ABR" link on the right side of the site. Thank you.

I have to say, I had never thought about an American Bulldog as a pet until I stumbled on to this sight and now I MUST have one as a companion for my Bull Mastiff. The Bully Breeds are just such wonderful dogs. I can't imagine ever owning another breed again. Thank you so much American Bulldog Rescue for all that you do for these dogs. If you ever expand to Boise, ID let me know, I'd love to foster!!!

We came upon ABR when fundraising for rescues. We have an Ambull and knew this was the rescue for us to support. All who have been involved with ABR are blessed. I hope, hope, hope, donations start coming in more frequently so these poor babies can continue to get the care ABR provides. The more money, the more care for the babies to get adopted, the more babies can be saved. I help whenever I can, I hope everyone can!

We rescued an AB, mostly by accident. I never imagined having a large dog and now can't imagine being without Roscoe.
