Meet Sugar

Sugar is a most well-behaved girl! She is quiet, friendly and very easy going. Sugar had a rough start in life and clearly never experienced much human love or companionship. She is very curious about everything, but she is a Nervous Nelly. It can be hard to coax her out of her crate, but with the door left open she will venture out (eventually). When the back door is open she will run out and do her business and run some laps, but once inside she goes straight back to her crate. It’s important that she has an environment in which she feels safe.

Sugar is laid back, but will gladly stay on an eating / going outside schedule for her foster dad (who is a creature of habit). Foster mom says Sugar is the tidiest dog she’s ever had – she is fully housebroken and she keeps her crate immaculate! She is very playful outside, and enjoys teasing her foster dad when it’s time to come inside. Sugar is nervous walking around the house, but will do so if she is sure her foster (dog) brother is not around. She is very loving, and with time and patience her friendly personality will shine and she will be a great companion!
