Scooby is the perfect combination of a playful pup and a chill dude. He loves to romp with his yak stick or nylabone and will try to draw you into the chase. If you’re too busy to play, that’s ok, he will play with it all by himself! If you like to cook, that’s great because he likes to politely sit by your side when you do! You never know when something might roll off the counter! He’s such a good boy that he usually gets a little something anyway. He loves his humans and loves to be around them.

Scooby is quite the entertainer, too. He sits, stays, gives you a paw, jumps and ROLLS OVER! Now all this can be tiring, so Scooby naps are often needed, during which he will usually end up on his back with all four paws in the air. Scooby’s not very modest!

Outside, Scooby loves to roam around the yard and take in all the smells, sights and sounds. On occasion, he enjoys giving a passing deer or squirrel the what-for and the where-to. Scooby also loves to go for walks and is very good on a leash. When he sees another dog coming his way, he politely stops and sits. People seem to appreciate his good behavior because Scooby is a big boy! Scooby LOVES car rides, especially when he can stick his head out the window and feel the breeze in his face!

Scooby has played well with our female pittie and reacted very politely to other dogs, large and small, during walks. While Scooby could be very happy in a house with another dog, he would also be happy as the only dog to be spoiled.

Scooby is a great dog that got caught in a bad situation. When he gets his wish and finds his forever home, he will be a loving companion to a very lucky human!

Good with children? unknown, will not be adopted to a home with kids under 10

Scooby’s favorite things: Scooby likes to roam around the back yard. Likes to run with our pups Not really into toys outside but likes his nylabone inside. Not so much to chew but to play with and chase 🙂 He has been good at kenneling up in his crate at bedtime and when we go out. He is calm and well-behaved in his crate until you come over to let him out. We should say, that we don’t crate him because of any bad behavior but because of our other dogs. He can sit and give you his paw. He LOVES car rides but prefers to sit in the back seat and put his head out the window instead of in the back of an SUV.
Scooby is good at: meeting people, meeting dogs, staying in a crate, behaving in the house, going for car rides, walking on a leash, playing
Ideal home: another dog, someone at home most of the day, a fenced yard
Training Needs:
Health issues: None that we know of.

Meet Scooby

He seems to be a companion dog. He will want to sit with you and watch TV. We think he is use to sitting on the couch with his owner, but we have not let him do that here. He hopped up on the couch once, but got down immediately when we told him to. He loves car rides and likes to sit in the back seat and look out the window. Better yet, put his head out of it. No chewing issues at all. Overall, he is a very well-behaved boy that would enjoy having a human home on and off during the day along with a canine brother or sister.
