Meet Sarge

Sarge was once very loved by his elderly veteran owner (hence his name-Sarge). Sarge’s owner passed away and the family was unable to care for Sarge properly which lead to his autoimmune protein deficiency. Sarge is a smart and fun loving boy. He has enough energy for a nice walk but is happy to just be where you are. Sarge gets excited over his food and can lift his feet. He does NOT bite over his food just a bit grubby as he was so starved with the illness. We are working on manners and Sarge has learned to sit to wait for his food bowl. He must be fed only his food and the specialized treats or he will get very sick. Sarge likes to meet new people and has excellent leash manners. Sarge likes other dogs but must be fed separate due to his food needs and he can be snippy over his food bowl with other dogs. Sarge enjoys walks with other dogs. He is good in the house. He is potty trained and not destructive when let alone.
