Meet Max

Hi everyone! My name is Max and I am about 1 1/2 years old. I am an American Bulldog/Boxer mix. My first owner was a homeless man and we lived on the streets. I was scared and hungry but he tried his best to take care of me. On the first really cold day of the winter, my owner couldn’t take me to the shelter with him so he found a really nice lady that took me in. She took me to work with her that first day and then home to her family because she did not want me to end up in a kill shelter. I stayed with this family for a few months, but they were not planning on bringing home a dog and even though they tried their best it wasn’t working out. That’s ok though because that nice lady saved my life and I will be forever grateful.

I am a bundle of love and energy. I love to run, play and go for walks. I also love to snuggle after a day spent performing my duties of exploring and playing hard! I am house broken and crate trained but am only in the crate when my foster mom is away. I am good in the house but I can get a little mischievous if I’m left alone for too long. I am very smart and would benefit from obedience training. I walk very well on a leash and am currently working on mastering sit in all situations. I am very eager to please and my foster mom says I will learn my commands quickly.
