Activity Preference: Hope you like to run long distances!, Needs a couple walks a day., Needs in-house activities, Up for a long hike any day.
Lulu’s favorite things: One of the first things Lulu did upon entering our house for the first time was pick up one of the squeaky toys. She has since removed that squeaker! But she will also run around with them and play fetch as well. She also seems to like the Nylabones that are scattered throughout the house.
Lulu gets both squeaky toy and Nylabone in her crate daily.
She has also discovered the joys of a rope toy! She likes playing tug-of-war and makes cute little growling sounds while playing.
I’ve now taken her for several walks and she loves getting out of the house for a bit. She tries to make friends with everyone we pass.
So far has only been in the car with me once but was very well behaved the whole time.
Lulu is good at: staying in a crate, going for car rides, cuddling, playing
Ideal home: another dog, a fenced yard, Lots of exercise opportunities
Training Needs: leash training, other: learning what personal space means
Lulu is just one little ball of energy!! One of the happiest dogs I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, Lulu will bring a smile to anyone’s face!
Lulu is a very smart little girl that is willing to please. She will follow you everywhere you go, whether that be to the kitchen for a drink or for a walk down the street. All she wants is to be with you. While Lulu does have a lot of energy she does normally settle down pretty easily for cuddles. Understand for her cuddles involve laying on you in some way, shape or form. Luckily at 40 lbs. this isn’t the worst thing in the world.
We’ve only had her for about a week and she’s already picked up so much. She is working on some basic manners (i.e. not jumping, giving space) and also basic obedience. Lulu knows sit very well when she’s paying attention!! Please remember that Lulu is still young and almost everything distracts her. She responds very well to light correction. We’ve been going for nightly walks and she’s doing pretty well that. Lulu does pull when you first get out the door but will settle into a nice pace once you get going, that is until she sees someone!! Then it’s all butt wiggles!
In the house Lulu will chew on Nylabones and squeaky toys. Which we generally place these in her crate with her when we leave for the day. She also plays fetch with the squeaky toys. Lulu has also discovered the rope toy! She makes the cutest little noises when you play tug-o-war with her!
She is being crated on a daily basis and has no issues with that. Lulu has also been eating in her crate to give our other foster space while she eats. This is something that she does very well with.Adopted
