Meet Grub

Grub is lots of fun and will keep you on your toes, he is a funny young man who came from a one floor apartment and we are assuming he was allowed to do whatever he liked. He does not do steps. He recently learned how to get into a car and loves his daily walks at the park. It’s his favorite time of day and gets very excited for car rides now. It initially took 4 people to pick him up and get him in the car to his foster home and that was not easy. It took 2 months for him to learn how to lift his legs to get in the car but is still afraid to go down steps. He can not live in a home where steps are part of his daily routine, He lives happily with his 2 foster sisters and has met lots of other dogs while in foster care. He does respect other female dogs but will not back down to another male who might give him an attitude. He loves everyone he meets (maybe too much) and it takes him a while to settle down when meeting new people but with training he does know that he will get attention if he lies down. He was initially not happy with anyone touching his collar but that has changed, although he does know when he can push someone around. He is very sweet and loving, just a pushy young man if allowed. He would benefit from positive reinforcement and training. It is working very well in his foster home.
