Meet Cherry

Cherry is smart and loving, eager to please and learn. She was found as a stray and seems at have been on her own for a long time. When she first came, she would try to build a nest in the shrubs every night for about 8-10 days at night. It was heartbreaking but now she hardly spends more time outside than it takes to do her business. She was extremely thin but is gaining weight and she loves mealtime and treats. She pretty much ignores other dogs on walks and at the Vet’s office and has spent a good amount of time in her foster home with her K9 foster sister Katie. They enjoyed playtime and sharing the couch . Cherry does have one issue if you want to call it that, she may be part Orangutan! She knows how to climb on things and was found sitting on top of a crate! Regular baby gates are not a match for her but she is not destructive in any way. She does have separation anxiety but she is fine in another room but she just isn’t a fan of being confined, probably because she was never crated and was on the lam for a while. A home with another dog that she loves is ideal for her. She does panic when she is left totally alone except in a car. You can run errands with her and she is great. She ls looking great and feeling good and eats in her crate. Sometimes she even chooses to go into one for a little snooze.
